The iconic chef took to Instagram to share a clip from her series “Rachael Ray in Tuscany.” In the clip, she pays tribute to the late Tony Bennett as she cooks his favorite dish, ossobuco. The video caught fans’ attention, as they speculated that the TV personality had “something going on.” However, several others defended Ray and highlighted that it’s all part of aging.
Rachael Ray’s new video sparks health concern
Rachael Ray recounted when Tony Bennett visited her house for the first time, and she “almost killed him.” The chef shared that she “polished the floors in the kitchen” ahead of the singer’s arrival for dinner. Ray said she wanted to make sure the floors were perfect and the house was clean, adding that when she “pulled out the chair for Tony to sit down,” it slid out from under him. As a result, he ended up hitting his head on the marble counter behind him.
Ray shared that she thought she killed Bennett after he fell to the floor. Meanwhile, his wife, Susan, told the chef, “Rachael, he’s fine. He’ll pop back up. Just let him be.” She shared that after the small accident, Bennett “made it all through dinner” and “had double portions of everything.” After saying that he was “such a gentleman,” the TV star got emotional and said, “I miss my friend so much.” Ray continued to call Bennett “the most beautiful man.” Then, after sharing the story, the chef began to prepare ossobuco.
However, concerned fans took to the comment after noticing that Ray seemingly sounded different. One person wrote, “Part of her mouth seems sinking.” Another went as far as to claim that she “looks like she may be recovering from a stroke.” But some fans rushed in to shut down the speculations. One user wrote, “She got emotional talking about her friend is all,” while another pointed out, “She’s aging like the rest of us.”
At the time of writing, Ray hasn’t addressed the speculations about her health.
