Damian Lewis (A Spy Among Friends) and Kelly Macdonald (I Came By) are discreet vampires in the newly released trailer for The Radleys, an upcoming horror comedy from Lionsgate.
The upcoming film, directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper) and written by Talitha Stevenson, is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2024. It also stars Bo Bragason (Renegade Nell), Jay Lycurgo (The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself), Sian Phillips (Dream Horse), Shaun Parkes (The Suspect), and Harry Baxendale.
What happens in The Radleys trailer?
Starring Lewis and Macdonald as Peter and Helen Radley, the trailer opens with their daughter Clara (Bragason), who accidentally kills a boy while defending herself from his sexual advances. However, her compulsive urge to feed on the boy’s blood compels both Peter and Helen to tell Clara and their son Rowan (Baxendale) that they are actually vampires trying to lead a normal life.
Peter then enlists the help of his estranged brother Will (also played by Lewis) to hide Clara’s crime. As Clara and Rowan grapple with the truth about themselves, their desire for blood is more difficult to control than it first appears.

The Radleys is based on the novel by bestselling author Matt Haig. The official synopsis reads as follows:
“Award-winning actors Kelly Macdonald (No Country For Old Men) and Damian Lewis (“Billions,” Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood) star in a dark comedy thriller about a seemingly average suburban family with a juicy secret: they are vampires. In the light of day, the Radleys might seem normal, but they can only abstain from their natural cravings for so long until the bloody truth bubbles to the surface and turns their quiet country life upside down.”
The Radleys will be released in theaters, on-demand, and digital on October 4.
