Rapper Blueface Slammed With 4 years In Prison After Probation For 2021 Assault
Rapper Blueface is finally coming face to face with the consequences of his actions!
The rapper has been sentenced to spend the next four years behind bars for an assault that occurred at a club in 2021.
Blueface's sentencing was pronounced in front of his distraught parents, who expressed their optimism that he would change for the better in jail.
Blueface's Drug Possession Prompted His Sentencing
The rapper is expected to spend this summer and the next three summers in jail after a judge handed down his four-year sentence today. Blueface's parents were present in court to support their son and were reportedly saddened by their son's incarceration.
His dad, Johnathan, was teary when he heard the judgment, and his mother, Karlissa, appreciated the fans' support and assured them of redemption for the rapper as he headed to prison.
The "Thotiana" rapper's manager, Wack 100, shared that he was able to stall his client's sentencing for the past few years, but his recent run-in with the cops over drug possession forced a quick sentencing.
Despite the weight of the sentence, Wack expressed confidence that the rapper would be released in about ten months. Based on Wack's calculation, Blueface gets credit for 440 days already served, and the State of California only makes him serve one-third of the remaining sentence.
TMZ noted that the artist had been placed on probation for his involvement in a 2021 assault case at Skinny's Lounge in the San Fernando Valley.
The Rapper Was Ordered To Pay $13 Million In Damages
Blueface, whose real name is Jonathan Jamall Porter, was arrested in 2022 for a November shooting in Las Vegas. He pled guilty to several charges, including a misdemeanor and a Category B Felony of releasing a firearm at or into an occupied structure.
Court documents obtained by The Blast in October 2021 showed that the club owner sought damages totaling $13, 072, 482 which the judge ordered Blueface to pay.
The sum was meant to replace the damages accrued from lost revenue by the strip club, which had to shut down due to the shooting incident.
The documents further stated that the rapper might still pay more money for the Plaintiff’s attorney’s fees and costs against the Defendant.
What Led To The Club Shooting?
Reports close to the source claimed that the rapper's hot temper prompted the shooting at the Las Vegas club after a mystery man poked at the rapper with a joke.
The unidentified man made a funny remark about Blueface talking "to some females in a cheap vehicle," which angered the rapper and led him to become physical.
The victim, said to be a truck driver, was hit by Blueface multiple times and tried escaping the physical assault till Blueface's crew reached for a gun and fired live rounds at this truck.
Blueface was caught on camera firing at the vehicle and injuring the occupant outside the Euphoric Gentlemen's Club in Las Vegas. The attack left the driver with a bullet graze wound, and his truck suffered several bullet holes from the assault.
Blueface's Girlfriend Also Faced A $1 Million Lawsuit
Like Blueface, his on-and-off partner and baby mama Chrisean also found herself in an assault lawsuit filed by Irby Lashala for bodily and emotional harm during a "Baddies" premiere party.
Per The Blast, the hairstylist claimed she suffered "assault; Battery; Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress; Negligence; Negligent Hiring, Supervision, and Retention; Premises Liability."
She expressed her willingness to provide written discovery and a "deposition of defendant" by August 2024. Other details, including "supplemental written discovery" and "expert discovery," will be provided according to a specific legal code or regulation.
Lashala stated that the assault happened at the "Baddies West" premiere in 2023 when she attempted to say hello to Chrisean and "compliment her on her appearance."
The encounter allegedly left her with physical and psychological damages, which made her incur medical expenses that she now needs about $1 million to settle as against her initial demand of 35k.
Chrisean Rock Previously Got Into A Rumble With Actress Rama Montakhabi
Lashala was not Chrisean's only victim, as the mother-of-one allegedly attacked Montakhabi around June 2023 at the BET Awards after-party.
Montakhabi accused her of "battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress and negligence" in the lawsuit filed against her and ZEUS Network.
While the Indian-American actress did not fully disclose the details of the event, she described the brutality of the attack and how it occurred unprovoked, stating:
"Defendant CHRISEAN ROCK intentionally, willfully, and maliciously, without provocation and without the consent of Plaintiff, struck, attacked, assaulted, battered, tortured and imprisoned plaintiff."
The actress also accused ZEUS Network of inadequate supervision of Chrisean and for failing to advise her of the 23-year-old's "dangerous propensities."
One thing is sure: Chrisean Rock and Blueface's finances will never be the same after they pay off all these lawsuit sums!
