Rapper Lil Baby won’t face charges after Las Vegas Strip arrest
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Prosecutors will not pursue charges against rapper Lil Baby following his arrest at a Las Vegas Strip casino.
Police arrested Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Armani Jones, after security reported that he was possibly carrying a gun while gambling, officers said.
Metro police officers then interviewed Jones, who admitted that he knew carrying a firearm in the casino was not allowed, but forgot he had it with him after visiting a nightclub earlier, an arrest report said. Jones claimed to have a concealed weapons permit from Georgia, but detectives told him the permit was not valid in Nevada.
Jones was arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, records said. Prosecutors dropped the charge on Oct. 1.
