Another Song of the Summer contender just dropped! On Thursday evening, Rauw Alejandro debuted the video for his bright, disco-tinged single “Touching the Sky,” his first solo track since last August.

The video opens with Rauw Alejandro living his Risky Business fantasy while getting fitted for a suit. In between perfectly choreographed dance breaks, the Puerto Rican star goes on a date with a stunning love interest. “You can stay, or you can leave, but for now, I feel like I’m touching the sky,” he sings to her in the chorus. “If only you knew what I was thinking about.”

The video follows Rauw having dinner with her at a fancy restaurant, chugging glasses of wine, and then engaging in even more perfect choreography as the couple plays pool. “My heart was gray, now it’s red,” he sings in Spanish. “We both suffered because of love, oh well!” The video then ends with Rauw in the street of New York, realizing this was all a fever dream. (Scratch that, let’s call it “manifestation.”)

“Touching the Sky” marks Rauw’s first solo single since the Rosalia-dedicated standalone track “Hayami Hana” last August. He’s since dropped massive collaborations with Sky Rompiendo for “Espectacular,” Alvaro Diaz on “BYAK,” and Shakira with Las Mujeres No Lloran‘s “Cohete.”

“Touching the Sky” seems to be part of a “new era” for “Raúl Alejandro” that he’s been teasing was scheduled for May. The new album era follows his pair of Saturno albums, including Playa Saturno, which he released in July 2023. (That LP featured collabs with Junior H, Miguel Bosé, and Ivy Queen.) He last dropped a video for the album’s song “Diluvio” in November and also performed at the Latin Grammys that month.
