Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, Episode 15 Recap: Kyle Shares Her Marital Woes With Dorit
Hi again! Let’s jump right into The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, Episode 15 recap. Last week, Sutton apologized to Kyle for not being a better friend to her. This week’s episode, titled “Ashing It Out,” concludes the ladies’ trip to Barcelona. Sutton prepared to release her friend’s ashes, and Kyle talked to Dorit about her marital problems. Here’s everything that you need to know about RHOBH Season 13, Episode 15!
Sutton prepares to say goodbye to Merce
Sutton and her friend, Trevor, transferred Merce’s ashes to a box. Unfortunately, some of Merce’s ashes landed on the table. A horrified Trevor watched as Sutton swept them up in her hand. Meanwhile, Sutton realized that she needed to let go of her father’s death. And she has spent too long being angry about her divorce from Christian Stracke. Now that he is moving to London, Sutton must stand alone.
The group arrived at Sitges, Spain. The location overlooking the ocean was stunning. Sutton shared her feelings about her late father and her marriage. She acknowledged that her father, Christian, and Merce were “three very important men in my life.” I’m glad that Sutton is starting to release all of these emotions, and is encouraging her friends to do the same.
As Sutton started to cry, Kyle quickly embraced her. “I think that Sutton has been in a lot of pain regarding her divorce, much more so than any of us could have imagined,” Kyle said in her confessional.
As Sutton and Trevor release Merce’s ashes, the winds blow them towards the RHOBH cast. “That’s the way the wind blows,” Sutton quipped. Now everyone has a little Merce. Kyle was freaked out and kept re-checking her clothes. This scene reminded me of when The Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan had the funeral for her dog, and the ashes blew everywhere.
Some surprising confessions
Garcelle was up next. She wanted to release her fear of abandonment, feeling lonely, and not having her father in her life.
Crystal was emotional about her brother’s move to Thailand. Then Dorit talked about her PTSD, and that she would try to leave it there. In her confessional, Dorit said that she needs to let go of her expectations of her husband, PK. No, Dorit. Maybe PK needs to meet your expectations.
Then it was Erika’s turn. And I guarantee that no one expected this speech. “I’m here to let this go in representation of all the hurt from the last two-and-a-half years that I feel many of you have contributed to. I have turned a new page in my life. I always knew I would,” she stated. “So my hurt, my anger, my old life…” Erika added as she tossed the flower necklace into the sea.
Erika finally receives an apology
Kyle wanted to let go of the guilt that she felt over the death of her friend, Lorene. She also released any hurt from her sister or her Beverly Hills co-stars.
In her confessional, Kyle talked about how strange it was to not share her marital problems. “I don’t know if my marriage is going to survive, but when I’m ready to share with everyone, I will,” she said.
Crystal and Erika went for ice cream, and Crystal apologized for adding to Erika’s pain. As Erika noted, she was the only lady to man up and apologize. But she still wanted an apology from the rest of the group.
Lady in red orange
The ladies will be attending a flamenco dinner where they will perform their dance. All the ladies were wearing red, except for Kyle, who was sporting orange. Way to ruin the vibe, Kyle.
Annemarie asked Garcelle and Sutton if they would ever get married again. While Sutton doesn’t hold out much hope of that happening, Garcelle doesn’t want to split her earnings with a man. She would rather leave it all for her sons.
Then the discussion moved to signing papers your husband asks you to sign. Hold on. Can we get Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey on the phone for this convo? Kyle signs whatever Mauricio tells her to because he handles all the bills. “I sign stuff and hope for the best,” she said.
Sutton was aghast. “I don’t care if you have married the pope. Do not sign the pope’s document,” she advised in her confessional. And Erika warned that this is how she landed in hot water with her estranged husband, Tom Girardi. Yikes!
The flamenco dinner
During dinner, Annemarie asked the ladies about their favorite part of the trip. For Kyle, she appreciated the healing ritual at the ocean and everyone sharing and being open. Erika felt happy and relaxed on this trip, as opposed to the dumpster fire in Aspen last season. But Annemarie didn’t understand what Erika was alluding to about being hurt by the group, so she asked her to explain.
Erika said, “The last few years I was in this group, I felt very mischaracterized and very misunderstood.” Erika was still salty that she won her appeal regarding the infamous earrings, and no one other than Crystal apologized. Garcelle asked Erika if she trusted the group more now, and she responded that trust was built up over time.
A shady toast to Erika
Sutton proposed a toast to Erika, even though some of the ladies didn’t receive “door invitations” to Erika’s Vegas residency. Sutton congratulated Erika on her residency and added that the entire group “was proud” of Erika.
Erika remarked how supportive the group was when she was on Broadway, and pointed out that Sutton arranged for their private jet. In her confessional, Erika said that Sutton was invited and that she wouldn’t be the only one excluded. Ha! Sure, Erika.
Hitting the stage
Some of the ladies were a bit nervous about performing onstage after dinner. “Splits” Richards was bemoaning the fact that she is no longer drinking and can’t rely on her favorite party trick. And Dorit tried to ditch performing by claiming that she couldn’t dance in her dress and shoes. Erika’s solution for Dorit? Go barefoot and hold up her dress.
Sutton was thrilled and admitted how much she loved these ladies. “Nothing is more important than friendship, because friends become your family. And right now, this is my family,” Sutton stated in her confessional. She wanted it to stay fun like this. There is zero chance of that happening. Zero!
Kyle confides in Dorit
Back in Beverly Hills, Dorit visited Kyle. Dorit asked how Kyle’s relationship with Mauricio was going.
Kyle shared that she has been in therapy. And Mauricio also joined in, but Kyle wasn’t sure if it was helping. Dorit wanted her friend to know that she had her back. Kyle revealed that she and her husband don’t fight. But their workload and traveling have taken their toll. Dorit agreed because traveling affected her marriage to PK.
“So, I’m like, ‘If we are having an issue, why can’t you give that energy that you give to the company?’” Kyle commented. But when Kyle told Mauricio that their marriage was in trouble and that they needed to work on it, she didn’t feel like she was a priority. In her confessional, Kyle stated, “If there’s no effort made or put into us, we’re not going to end up together. We’ll never survive this,” she said.
That is sad, but at least Kyle was finally sharing exactly what went wrong with her marriage.
