Rebecca Romijn, Danny Glover, Ali Wentworth, and More Talk Favorite Thanksgiving Foods

Dry turkey is almost universally detested, but what about other Thanksgiving foods? Chances are that someone in your family can’t stand mashed potatoes or cranberries or stuffing or … the list goes on.

Yahoo Celebrity interviewed a handful of stars about their favorite and least favorite Thanksgiving dishes. Who knew Thanksgiving dinner could be such a divisive meal?

Both Ali Wentworth and Jerry Ferrara are pro-mashed potatoes. Ferrara even uses them as a kind of condiment. He said, “I sort of put mashed potatoes on top of all the other Thanksgiving foods, like I have turkey and I put mashed potatoes on top of that; I put mashed potatoes on top of stuffing.”

On the other side of the aisle, Rebecca Romijn and Merrin Dungey are not mashed potato fans. In fact, Dungey even said: “I will never eat mashed potatoes. What’s the point?”

Wentworth has an even broader range of dislikes: anything green. She explains why: “The biggest fight I ever have in my marriage is that George [Stephanopoulos] always wants a salad at Thanksgiving, which I think is ridiculous!”

Danny Glover extolled the virtues of his mother’s dressing, calling it “killer,” while sliced cranberries were forever ruined for Jerry Ferrara because of his brother. He said, “He would eat one [slice] and squish it around [in his mouth] and make cranberry juice and it was absolutely disgusting.”

Can’t say we disagree, Jerry.
