Wilson, 44, welcomed her daughter on Nov. 7, 2022, via surrogate. "I can't even describe the love I have for her, she's a beautiful miracle!" she wrote on Instagram at the time.
The actress later told PEOPLE that her daughter's full name is Royce Lillian Elizabeth Wilson. Explaining the meaning behind each of her names, Wilson said, "I wanted an original name starting with the letter R and so eventually landed on that one. Lillian and Elizabeth are both family names carried by women in my family who I admire. Elizabeth, which is also my middle name, after the late Queen."
Last August, Wilson opened up to PEOPLE about how the best part of her day is coming home to her daughter. "I throw Royce up in the air until she giggles, I tickle her and I help put her to bed. She just melts my heart," she said.
The comedian later told PEOPLE in March 2024 that Royce's first word was "Mama." She added that it had since become "her new favorite word."
The Deb is an Australia-set musical about a high school outcast (Natalie Abbott) who is determined to redefine herself at her small town's Debutante Ball, or “the Deb," as it's known to locals.
The project marks Wilson's directional debut, and the first-time director recently told PEOPLE that she is “so proud” of how her film turned out.
Among Wilson’s other upcoming projects is another movie musical, Verona's Romeo & Juliet, scheduled for 2025.
The Deb — which also stars Jean, Charlotte MacInnes, Tara Morice and Shane Jacobson — does not yet have a release date.
