Recently reunited Linkin Park among full lineup for Sonic Temple in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival announced a heavyweight headliner list Wednesday for its 2025 concert series.

After a years-long hiatus when Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington died in 2017, the band announced its return in September with new singer Emily Armstrong. The group is among the lead names dropped for Sonic Temple from May 8-11 at Columbus’ Historic Crew Stadium.

Organizers previously revealed Metallica would take center stage on that Friday and Sunday, with additional performances from Alice in Chains and Rob Zombie. They’ve since announced Korn would take the Thursday headline, followed by Linkin Park on Saturday.

Sonic Temple has a full roster of more than 100 bands, which include Alice Cooper, Incubus and Chevelle among many more.

Organizers previously promised several Metallica-themed experiences at Sonic Temple, including the Blackened Whiskey Bar and Blackened Burger Bar. A favorite onsite haunt, The Dive Bar, will also be back, along with the Sonic Temple live art program.

Single-day, two-day and four-day general admission and VIP passes are on sale for the festival are already on sale. Fans interested in attending can purchase their tickets on the Sonic Temple website.
