Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Shares Exciting Pregnancy First
Ree Drummond’s oldest daughter had an exciting development to share with her fans when she posted a pregnancy update on social media this week.
Alex Drummond Scott and her husband, Mauricio Scott, went public with their pregnancy news in June. They also shared an adorable gender reveal video starring their golden retriever late last month, announcing to the world that they are expecting a baby girl.
After recently opening up about some of the struggles she encountered during her first trimester, The Pioneer Woman host's daughter shared a new update on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 23. Alex informed fans that she is now about 17 weeks along, or “almost halfway there, which is crazy.”
Following a brief run-down of how her appetite has finally returned, leaving her feeling “hungrier” than ever, Alex shared the “exciting” new thing she has started to notice happening in her body.

“I definitely felt her move this week, a couple days ago, for the first time,” she said. “And every day since then, I recognize the feeling now.”
Alex hadn’t realized what the movement was at first. “But the more I felt it, the more I was like, OK, that’s definitely something different going on down there,” she said. “So it’s very subtle, and honestly I can only feel it when I’m, like, laying down, really looking for it. But that’s kind of a crazy thing.”
Overall, Alex said she has been “feeling so much better” now that the weeks-long nausea she endured during her first trimester has abated. She offered encouragement to other pregnant people encountering similar journeys, telling them, “Just know: It gets better. There is light at the end of the tunnel.”
The 27-year-old is now looking ahead to her next ultrasound, which will happen in “a couple weeks.” For now, she is enjoying working on the nursery and building out a registry, both of which she described as “fun, exciting things.”
“It feels so much more real now,” she said in amazement. “It’s really happening.”
