Reese Witherspoon made a splash onstage as her beloved “Legally Blonde” character Elle Woods at Amazon’s debut upfront presentation on Tuesday. Appearing in costume, the actress’ pink look was complete with Christian Louboutin pumps.
The same day, Witherspoon hit the stage in sleek black pumps alongside her “You’re Cordially Invited” costar Will Ferrell. She donned another black stiletto style, strappy Jimmy Choo Minny sandals at the AFI Life Achievement Awards last month. A fan of slingback heels, she also wore red Aquazzura sandals at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February.
Some of Witherspoon’s other go-to luxury footwear brands include Manolo Blahnik, Gianvito Rossi and Santoni. She’s also been known to wear styles from her own brand Draper James on occasion. When the “Big Little Lies” star isn’t sporting dressy shoes, you might spot her in sneakers from brands like Hoka One One, Veja, Tretorn and Autry.
Witherspoon announced the order for a “Legally Blonde” prequel that will follow the high school years of Elle Woods at Amazon’s inaugural upfront presentation on Tuesday. The forthcoming Amazon Prime Video series is currently titled “Elle.”
Taking to Instagram to give a behind-the-scenes look at her getting ready for the appearance, she wrote, “Before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law, she was just a regular ‘90s high school girl. And all of you are going to get to know her, next year on @primevideo ? I’M SO EXCITED! ??”
About the Shoes
Witherspoon opted for Christian Louboutin’s Hot Chick slingback pumps, a silhouette she’s worn before. The pointy-toe pumps feature a signature notched ankle strap and sit on a soaring stiletto heel measuring over 4 inches. She wore a pale pink pair boasting a glossy patent leather finish. Louboutin’s Hot Chick pumps are offered in a variety of colors, materials and heel heights.
