Reese Witherspoon Reportedly Took This Major Step in Her Budding Relationship With Oliver Haarmann
Back in July, rumors that Reese Witherspoon had a new man in her life started swirling. After all, she and German private equity financier Oliver Haarmann were spotted many times together in New York City. Now, almost a month later, insiders are dishing on what’s actually happening between them.
According to sources for Us Weekly, Witherspoon and Haarmann, who had been getting to know each other mostly as friends at first, are now officially dating!

What some proof? The Morning Show star was pictured by Page Six holding hands with Haarmann as they left their hotel and entered their SUV on Wednesday, Sept. 5. In the pictures, Witherspoon looks so happy too. Wearing a black dress and matching heels, Witherspoon has a soft smile stamped across her face. We love to see it!
In August, insiders told Life & Style how their relationship began. “They met through mutual friends in New York and hit it off,” the insider said to the outlet. “They’ve been seeing a lot of each other over the summer. Reese wasn’t expecting to find romance, but she has.”
“She loves to talk business and money and ways to invest, and he’s so knowledgeable,” they added. “The attraction grew from there. She’s loving the attention and is seeing where all this will go.”
As a reminder, this is the first man Witherspoon has dated since her divorce from Jim Toth in the spring of 2023. With Toth, she shares son Tennessee, 11, as well as kids Ava, 24, and Deacon, 20, with her first husband Ryan Phillippe.
Haarmann, on the other hand, was once married to businesswoman Mala Gaonkar (she is now dating musician David Byrne). The former couple share two sons.
Looks like they’ve met their match!
