Relive 'The Life and Music of George Michael' in October

One of the best-selling musicians of all time will be celebrated in a concert-style stage show coming to the Southern Theatre on Oct. 29.

Presented by Ruckus Entertainment and CAPA, "The Life and Music of George Michael" details the late singer's meteoric rise as one-half of the massively successful pop duo Wham! to his extraordinary career as a solo artist.

The audience will experience Michael's early hits from Wham!, as well as the many hits that made him a pop icon and one of Rolling Stone magazine's "200 Greatest Singers of All Time."

Michael (fun fact: his real name was Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou) sold more than 115 million albums during his nearly four-decade career. His 1987 solo debut, "Faith," yielded four No. 1 hits including the title track, "Monkey, "Father Figure" and "One More Try."

The English-born singer earned numerous honors including 12 Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, three BRIT Awards and two Grammys.

Michael, who died on Christmas Day in 2016 at age 53, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year.
