Reneé Rapp had a special hometown surprise for Lollapalooza attendees this year.

On Friday, Aug. 2, the "Tummy Hurts" singer, 24, shocked festival-goers by bringing out Chance the Rapper to join her onstage for her evening set at the annual event. The Chicago native, 31, came out to his 2016 hit "No Problem," which he and Rapp both performed for the energized crowd at Chicago's Grant Park.

At the end of her set, the Snow Angel performer thanked Chance "for just being Chance the Rapper," excitedly adding, "I was geeked... I was so f---ing excited."

Rapp isn't the only star who unveiled a special surprise during Lollapalooza — where Hennessy served as the festival's official first Cognac partner. On Thursday, her "Not My Fault" collaborator Megan Thee Stallion was shocked to see Chicago Sky player Angel Reese come out to cheer her on during her headlining set. The two hugged onstage before the rapper performed her Megan track "Where Them Girls At."

"What the f---!" a shocked Megan screamed over the WNBA star's appearance. "That really surprised me."

Others who performed at Lollapalooza 2024 include headliners SZA, Hozier, Stray Kids, The Killers, Blink-182, Melanie Martinez and Future and Metro Boomin. Attendees at the festival were able to enjoy Hennessy as the festival's official first Cognac partner.

The four-day festival also saw an unprecedented-sized crowd turnout for rising pop star Chappell Roan, who had over 80,000 people attend her mid-day set on Thursday. A spokesperson for Lollapalooza told CNN it was "the biggest daytime set we’ve ever seen," adding, "It was a magical moment added to Lolla’s DNA."
