'Replicas' Acquired by IFC Midnight

IFC Midnight acquired all the US rights to "Replicas," a psychological thriller released in April at the Tribeca Film Festival, the company announced Tuesday.

The film -- which stars "Hellboy" actress Selma Blair, Joshua Close of "The Pacific," James D'Arcy and Rachel Miner -- follows the Hughes family as they escape their busy, upscale suburban life to spend time together in the countryside after a tragic accident. There, they face a man's violent obsession with perfection and the family is forced to extremes to survive.

A Canadian film, "Replicas" is the feature-length debut of director Jeremy Power Regimbal, who until now was known for directing commercials and music videos and editing The Lab Magazine.

All foreign rights to the movie belong to Celluloid Nightmares, a partnership between the Paris-based Celluloid Dreams and the Los Angeles-based XYZ Films.
