Report: CM Punk Internally Discussed As Potential Opponent For KENTA At Forbidden Door
It sounds like a match between CM Punk and KENTA is potentially in the cards for Forbidden Door later this month.
Last year ahead of the first Forbidden Door pay-per-view, CM Punk didn’t seem too interested in working a match against KENTA at the event in Chicago, but one year later, it appears something might have changed.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), the current working plan is for New Japan STRONG Openweight Champion KENTA to work the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 25.
As for his opponent, Sapp reports that CM Punk is being discussed as KENTA’s potential opponent, but it has yet to be confirmed that this match will take place.
If this match ends up taking place, this is yet another blockbuster dream match added to Forbidden Door later this month.
