Report: WWE Interested In Giulia, Hoping To Sign Her

WWE is reportedly interested in a reigning champion in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the company has massive interest in Giulia, the reigning NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. Johnson wrote that the company is attempting to court the NJPW star, and they hope to sign her.

The report also cites one source who noted that talks are far along enough that Giulia is expected at the WWE Performance Center at some point this month.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful subsequently confirmed PWInsider’s report and wrote that AEW had also indicated interest in using Giulia to STARDOM.

Outside of NJPW, Giulia is also featured in STARDOM. There, she currently holds the Artist of STARDOM Championship. Fans in the United States got to see Giulia at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2. She also competed at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed in Las Vegas.
