Retro Stars Come Out to Celebrate 50th CMA Awards
On the 50th annual CMA Awards, stars from now and then took the stage in a show opening that won’t soon be forgotten. Acts included Alabama, Ricky Skaggs, Charlie Pride, and Dwight Yoakam.
The legendary medley began with Merle Haggard’s son Ben joining Vince Gill. They were followed by the show’s co-host Brad Paisley and honky-tonk man Buck Owens. The country stars in attendance also watched as Reba graced the stage.
If that wasn’t enough, Charlie Daniels was also in the house. And, for a grand finale everyone came together around the newest member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Randy Travis.
