Indeed, Jenn and Ryan made waves when they first appeared on RHOC, mostly due to their link to Tamra Judge. Jenn garnered quick sympathy from fans when she said Tamra treated her very differently on the show than she had in their friendship before filming.
So, despite all the rumors that Tamra spread about Ryan, the couple came out on top in the court of public opinion. Now, they just continue coming out on top with news of a proposal.
Jenn tells the story of Ryan’s surprise proposal
On Thursday, April 11, Ryan proposed to Jenn on the beach of the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas. Ryan told PEOPLE it was one of their “favorite spots.” He explained, “We take all the kids there, typically the first week of summer, so it was important for me to do it in a spot that means something to us.”
“It feels so special that this happened while we were in our happy place,” Jennifer added. Of the engagement itself, she recalled, “He was like, ‘Come here for a second’ and we walked down on the beach. And he pulled me in, and I said to him, ‘Are you doing something?’ And the second he got down in the sand, I don’t even remember what he said because I was so surprised.”
She revealed that nearby guests cheered and clapped upon seeing the proposal. As for wedding plans, Jenn said the couple probably wouldn’t go all out with “some big celebration.” She explained, “We just got engaged, so obviously we’re just enjoying that and not planning anything concrete.” However, she teased the possibility of a small, intimate beach ceremony.
The Real Housewives of Orange County is streaming on Peacock.
