WATCH: 'American Idol' Judges Vote Off Rick Perry
Rick Perry announced that he's dropping out of the GOP presidential race on Thursday, but don't worry -- there's still plenty of comedy where that came from. Last night on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the show imagined a Perry exit as decided by "American Idol" judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson.
In Kimmel's farewell montage to Perry, set to Daniel Powter's "Bad Day," we see a greatest hits rundown of some of Perry's most memorable disasters from his particularly undisciplined campaign. Calling it "Thanks for the Rememories, Rick," Kimmel reminded us how Perry went from the GOP frontrunner to a national joke within only a few months.
As the "AI" judges tell him he'll be "eaten alive," we're also reminded that many contestants on the popular singing show are more prepared for the national stage than the governor of Texas.
