The Rick Ross & Skrillex Collab From ‘Suicide Squad’ Is As Dope As You Could Imagine
Ain’t no mercy when Rick Ross and Skrillex come together in the studio, just as the Suicide Squad can’t hear a victim begging for his life.
“Purple Lamborghini” is a hard mother of a tune. The bass sits low to the street like its namesake, the drums shoot hard like Deadshot’s glock pistol wrists. It bangs fresh to death like anything the Maybach Music kingpin touches as Ross raps he’s a way “bigger problem” on top of Skrillex’s menacing bass wubs.

Skrill left his mark all over the track, from the opening “oh my god” sample to the “my name is Skrillex” throwback at the end.

“Purple Lamborghini” is the main single from the official Suicide Squad soundtrack, and Ross laced the track with story references. “Forgive me for my wrongs, I have just begun,” he says. Fitting, as the two collaborators went on to tell Zane Lowe, who premiered the track on his Beats 1 Apple Music show, how crazy things got when filming the music video.
“Just expect cinematic gold,” Skrillex says. “It’s something that is such a rare thing to have myself, and Ross, and the Joker-”
That’s when Lowe interjected with all the giddiness of a super fan, just as any red-bleeding Batman franchise lover would. “The Joker is in the video? Really?”
“He came up and it just brought another type of energy to the set,” Ross confirms. “He most definitely brought the Suicide Squad.”
Just when you think it can’t get any sicker than this, it gets downright disgusting. Good vibes for the impending film. Listen to “Purple Lamborghini” below.
