Former child star Ricky Schroder arrested for felony domestic violence — the second time in a month
Ricky Schroder has been arrested on domestic violence charges — his second arrest in the past month.
The former child star, 49, was taken into custody at 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for alleged domestic violence and jailed, according to LASD records. Bail is set at $50,000.
According to TMZ, police spoke with the NYPD Blue and Silver Spoons star and his unidentified girlfriend and then he was subsequently arrested. The woman refused medical treatment on the scene.
A LASD spokesperson told the Hollywood Reporter that the female victim had signs of a physical altercation.
It turns out that this is actually Schroder’s second arrest in less than a month under similar circumstances. On April 2, he was also arrested, again in the wee hours of the morning, by the Lost Hills Station Patrol. He was charged with a felony and bonded out, another $50,000, just hours later.
TMZ reports that arrest was for felony domestic violence. Deputies were called to his home after he allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face as she tried to leave their home.

Schroder and his wife of nearly 24 years, Andrea, split in 2016. They have four children together and one of them, Cambrie, a fitness model and social media star recently spoke about how she struggled growing up with her TV star father. She called her childhood “a very abnormal situation” and said “people might think it’s so beautiful and glamorous, but actors aren’t most of the time fully functioning humans.”
