Ridiculous answers and awkward moments created some of the most embarrassing game show memories of 2020

Hilarious wrong answers and awkward moments are favorites amongst game show viewers, fortunately 2020 had plenty of them. And nobody knows this better than NFL hall-of-famer Bruce Smith after he shocked Celebrity Family Feud host Steve Harvey with a ridiculous answer.

Smith was in the final round of the game when he was asked, “If Captain Hook was moonlighting as a handyman, he might replace his hook with what tool?” Smith’s first answer of a hammer was already used, so he had to provide a second answer. He guessed “penis.” Not only was he wrong, but he completely caught host Steve Harvey off-guard.

The Price is Right host Drew Carey constantly meets people hoping to win prizes, but contestant Paris Hunter Paul made things extra awkward when he also tried to win back an ex-girlfriend by professing his love for her.

Beloved Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek recently died from pancreatic cancer, but prior to his death he entertained fans with his quick wit and endearing spirit. And while he often teased contestants, he was forced to tease himself after calling contestant Jessica Babbit, Jessica Rabbit. He signed off that day saying, “This is Alex Rebek saying goodbye until tomorrow.”

Moments like these and more helped make game shows some of the most entertaining television in 2020.
