Rihanna Selects This Actress To Play Her In A Biopic Because Of Her “Nice Forehead”
Rihanna is already thinking about the future beyond Fenty Hair and that includes a potential biopic.
For the Good Girl Gone Bad singer, she had one name in mind for the lead role in the movie about her life.
“Taylor Russell!” Rih told E! News on Monday (June 10) at the launch event for her latest venture. When asked why, the answer was simple: “She’s got a nice forehead. She’s fly and I feel like I want to be her, so I want her to pretend to be me.”
The mother of two also added, “I want people to see me in that light.”
Russell, best known for her roles in Waves and the Escape Room franchise, has not yet confirmed nor denied her interest in playing such a role, but the former ballet dancer-turned-actress may be perfect for the part.
Since making the transition into acting over a decade ago, the 29-year-old Canadian actress is ready to “be challenged and do things I’ve never done before,” according to a July 2023 interview with Vogue.
She also has experience with singing. Per a video conversation with W, Russell shared, “I sang, when I was 13 in front of my whole school, a Destiny’s Child song.” Even though she wasn’t sold on the idea of performing back then, she did confirm, “I would do it now, though.”
Fans have previously put in casting requests for Zendaya, WILLOW, Logan Browning, and Yara Shahidi for Rih’s future biopic. Film tings aside, the Navy is also ready for her long-awaited ninth studio album, which Rihanna is finally ready to work on.
She confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that she’s “starting over” with the highly-anticipated LP, but isn’t completely abandoning the work she’s already put into it. “I don’t wanna neglect the songs that I have,” she explained. “So I wanna go back and listen to stuff with new ears with my new perspective and see what applies and what I still am in love with.”
Going to see the Fenty biopic with songs from R9 while wearing Savage X, Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, and Fenty Hair sounds like a win-win for us all.
