Rihanna stuns in Dior fragrance campaign
While the Rihanna navy awaits new music from the singer, she’s a golden dream in the newest ad for the iconic J’adore Dior fragrance.
In July it was announced that the Fenty Beauty founder would take over as the face of the perfume from Charlize Theron. The Oscar-winning actress held the position since 2004 until Rihanna’s current reign.

When LVMH, the luxury goods company that owns Dior, made the announcement, the “Umbrella” singer called the new role “an honor and a mission.”
“This scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women. It is more than a perfume, it is a companion and a reference,” the Barbadian beauty explained. “I am especially touched to join this adventure and to contribute to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”
On Sunday, the passing of the torch was official as the fashion house released its first official film starring the singer.

The campaign film was directed by Steven Klein and Rihanna’s hit “Love on the Brain” played in the background.
The ad tells the story of “a metamorphosis and a coronation, a fusional encounter between a pop idol and a legendary perfume,” a press release obtained by Vogue explained.
Shot inside the beautiful Palace of Versailles, Rihanna storms through decked out in a black hat, coat, skirt and sunglasses. She tosses her handbag aside and reaches for the legendary gold bottle of perfume.
From there she changes into a gold corsetted gown and walks down the gilded halls, leaving her sparkling gold robe behind. She looks out at the historic grounds from the balcony and is later seen walking on water.
“Your dreams, make them real,” she says as she seductively stares into the camera. “J’adore Dior.”
In an interview with Vogue last month, Rihanna explained her long history with the fragrance.
“My mother worked in a perfume shop,” she revealed. “She used to always bring home the J’adore testers when they were almost empty, so there was always a bottle in the house. I have always loved this perfume.”
