Singer Rita Ora is flexing her stylish nature while walking around New York City.
Yesterday, the multi-hyphenate performer slipped into a pair of chrome, pointed-toe stilettos while in the Tribeca neighborhood.
The entrepreneur is fresh off the launch of her haircare brand, Typebea. She first kicked off the endeavor in Australia wearing Christian Louboutin’s popular “Hot Chick” style of pumps in black. Weeks later, she hosted a launch in London wearing another pair of pointed-toe black pumps.
While Ora is in New York City, the latest season of “The Masked Singer,” on which she is a panelist, is airing.
About the shoe
Ora’s metallic stiletto shoes featured a pointed-toe and a pointed vamp. The silhouette was a D’Orsay pump, meaning both the inside and outside of the shoe are cut away, revealing the arch of the foot. Ora’s style also features an ankle strap with a buckle fastening.
The shoe has also been worn on many red carpets before. It’s distinctive, v-pointed vamp was rocked by Jennifer Hudson at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles in April. It was also worn by Rachel McAdams for the Broadway premiere of “Mary Jane” the same month.
The Metallic Shoe Trend
Metallic shoes have been trending in fashion since 2022 and really began to dominate the industry. Even high end fashion houses such as Dior, Chanel, Coach and Jean Paul Gaultier have added metallic tones to their shoe collections.
In 2024, the trend doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. Mega pop stars like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift have incorporated the shades into their worldwide tours while Elizabeth Hurley and Heidi Klum have sported metallics to style their own looks, too. Silver, chrome and other mirrored-appearing colors are particularly popular but gold shoes have also comprised a portion of the trend, too.
