Rita Ora Wears Beaded Marni Dress for the Met Gala 2024 Red Carpet With Taika Waititi
Rita Ora made a sheer statement on the red carpet of the 2024 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday in New York. The actress wore a daring custom dress adorned with beads by Marni, envisioned by the brand’s creative director, Francesco Risso.
The dress was embellished with unique beads in an array of hues, including black, pink, orange, turquoise and white, sourced from various corners of the globe. Draping elegantly down the singer’s legs, the dress featured high slits on both sides.

Ora accessorized the look with white and yellow gold rings by Buccellati featuring emeralds, diamonds, sapphires and rubies, a petite gold metal lady bag with a short metal chain and a pair of strappy nude sandal heels, completing the ensemble.
For her hairstyle, she opted for a short, wet and wavy look, adding a touch of edge to her overall appearance.
Accompanying the “Praising You” singer and director of “Thor: Love and Thunder” was her husband, Taika Waititi, whom she married in 2022. Waititi donned a head-to-toe brown leather Marni suit, complemented by a leather tie and gloves that harmonized with Ora’s beaded gown.
The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits. This year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” nods to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit, which will open to the public on Friday. The 2024 event is cochaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour.
