Rob Gronkowski thinks Chiefs should sign Super Bowl streaker: 'He actually scored'
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Rob Gronkowski appeared last night on The Late Late Show With James Corden, where he talked about winning his fourth Super Bowl title. While the tight end had a huge game, scoring two touchdowns, he admitted that it was actually the streaker who made his night complete.
“I feel like that’s exactly what we needed to complete our night,” said Gronkowski. "Because the night was going so smooth. We were scoring, our defense was dominating, everyone was playing super well, you know, we’re up by a lot. And then all of the sudden here comes this streaker. I was on the sideline like, ‘Yes, this is what we needed.’ We’re up [and] this streaker’s amazing! It was entertainment, you know?”
For Gronkowksi, the streaker was the perfect complement to an excellent performance by the Buccaneers. He was impressed by the streakers speed and ability to elude security until he made it into the endzone.
The Kansas City Chiefs probably weren’t as enthused by the streaker, considering they never even scored a touchdown. But Gronkowski thinks the streaker might actually bolster their team. “He actually scored,” said Gronkowski. “The Chiefs didn’t. He scored, they should definitely sign him.”
The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on CBS.
