‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ to World Premiere at AFI Fest

The American Film Institute (AFI) announced that the stop-motion animated feature “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” will make its world premiere at the AFI Fest on Oct. 27 at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

Animation house Aardman’s four-time Academy Award-winning Director Nick Park and Emmy Award-nominated Director Merlin Crossingham will team up again for the upcoming sequel set in the Wallace & Gromit universe.

“Gromit’s concern that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions proves justified when Wallace invents a ‘smart’ gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own. When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master… or Wallace may never be able to invent again!” reads the film’s log line.

“We are delighted that our film will have its world premiere at AFI Fest in LA’s iconic Chinese Theatre,” Park and Crossingham said in a joint statement. “Years in the making, ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ is an epic adventure that brings together everything people love most about Aardman, from stop-motion craft to character and story, and we can’t wait for audiences to see what antics our favorite duo have been up to!”

The film will be screened on the last day of the festival. Click here for more information on the AFI Fest.
