The couple share three kids and co-parent Julian, 13, with Thicke's ex, Paula Patton
Robin Thicke is grateful for his experiences as a father of four.
Speaking with PEOPLE at Bilt Rewards' Casino night at the NMHC annual meeting in San Diego, the singer, 46, talked about his life as a dad of four.
During the conversation amid the event at The Prado at Balboa Park, he praised fiancée April Love Geary for being his partner in raising Luca Patrick, 2, Lola Alain, 4, and Mia Love, 5, — and as a co-parent to his oldest, son Julian, 13, whom he shares with Paula Patton.
"My relationship with April continues to grow beautifully as we've matured into three-time parents together and co-parenting with Julian," Thicke tells PEOPLE. "She's really the most amazing woman a man can ask for."
Thicke says that as a father of four, he's "extremely grateful to have loving, happy healthy children."
"It's a dream come true for me. I always wanted to have a big family," he continues. "Ever since my father passed away, I've been filling that void of missing him so much with as much love as I can in my life and I'm very happy to have four amazing children."

In November, the family supported son Julian as he took the stage starring as Patrick Star in his school’s musical production of SpongeBob Squarepants.
“My son, Julian Fuego Thicke was Patrick Star in the SpongeBob musical!!! I didn’t cry, you cried! ??????????,” Thicke wrote on Instagram as he shared a video montage of photos of his son with family members.
The post also included several clips of Julian performing on stage during the show. He had pink makeup on his cheeks and matching hairspray in his hair as he portrayed the famous underwater starfish from the hit Nickelodeon show.
Thicke opened up to PEOPLE in 2021 about how being a dad "has fed my soul" — particularly since the 2016 death of his own dad, Growing Pains star Alan Thicke.
Fatherhood "brought me back," he said. "I think probably when I lost my father, it's no coincidence that I've had three children in the last few years … because that's how big that hole is."
"I remember a friend of his and mine said, 'A big tree has fallen.' That's what my dad was. He was the big tree," he continued.
"Now here I am, this medium-size tree, and I've got to grow my branches and I've got to secure my roots and I've got to protect everybody that he was protecting also," added Thicke. "For me, it's a job that I'm very happy to do, and every day I try to make him proud of me."
