Rock band Ween cancels sold out Portland, Seattle, Eugene concerts

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Ween, the alternative rock band known for its experimental style, has canceled its sold out shows in Portland, Seattle and Eugene.

The band announced the cancellations on social media on Aug. 5. The canceled shows included two nights in Pioneer Courthouse Square on Aug. 8 and 9 for the PDX-Live Summer Concerts series.

“We regret to announce that we will have to cancel our shows this week,” the band wrote on social media.  “We love performing for the best fans in the world, and we are beyond disappointed we won’t be able to do these shows.”

All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase, the band said. The band did not announce the cause of the cancellations.

“Thanks as always for the love and support,” Ween shared.
