'Rocky Horror Picture Show' event set for October at Aiken Theatre

"The Rocky Horror Picture Show," a cult classic, will get another screening later this year at the Aiken Theatre inside the Old National Events Plaza in Evansville.

The show is set for Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. There will be a VIP "meet and greet" session with Nell Campbell, who played "Columbia" in the movie.

"Rocky Horror" – a 1975 film version of creator Richard O'Brien's stage show – stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as Janet Weiss and Brad Majors, a Midwestern couple whose car breaks down. They venture to a nearby castle, where they find all manner of weirdness perpetrated by Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a cross-dressing mad scientist from the planet Transsexual in the Transylvania galaxy.

The Oct. 13 event will also include:

  • A costume contest

  • A performance by a local shadow cast

  • Memorabilia displays with relics and costumes from the movie
