Rodney Atkins, Chris Cagle to perform at the Ford County Fair
MELVIN, Ill. (WCIA) — Country music stars Rodney Atkins and Chris Cagle will be hitting the Ford County Fair stage in a couple of weeks.
The fair runs from June 23-29. The duo will perform on Friday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.
Country Aircheck named Atkins the second most-played male artist of the decade. He is most known for his platinum hit “Watching You,” which was also named one of most-played songs of the decade and earned him a “Million-Air” award from Broadcast Music, Inc. Atkins boasts eight top five singles, six No. 1s, and 3.8 billion music streams, earning him a place as one of country music’s most prominent singer-songwriters.

Cagle’s first single, “My Love Goes On And On,” made it to the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in 2000. The album became certified gold in the United States, producing his number-one hit “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out” and other chart-topping songs like “Laredo,” “What Kinda Gone,” and “Chicks Dig It,”
To purchase concert tickets in advance, click here. All tickets include fair admission, parking, and carnival rides. On the day of the concert, tickets will be available onsite for $10 cash for those 10 and under, and will also include carnival rides. Otherwise, ticket prices will increase day-of.
An after-party will take place in the beer pavilion until midnight, featuring the music of 80s Bush.
