A Royal Twist: Meghan Markle Just Got *One* Step Closer to Returning to Hallmark

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle might be very far removed from her Hallmark days, but once a part of the Hallmark family, always a part of the Hallmark family. At least that’s what it feels like after recent pictures showed Markle having lunch with another Hallmark star. But does that mean Meghan Markle is coming back to Hallmark?

Is Meghan Markle Coming Back to Hallmark?
The answer is probably no, but we know she at least still has friends in the Hallmark family. And one of those seems to be actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Markle and Williams-Paisley were photographed after a casual lunch together at Tre Lune, an Italian restaurant in Montecito, California.
Markle famous starred as Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits before marrying Harry, The Duke of Sussex in 2018. But she also starred in two Hallmark movies, When Sparks Fly and Dater’s Handbook. Kimberly Williams-Paisley, meanwhile, has appeared on shows like According to Jim and Nashville, as well as on both Father of the Bride and the sequel Father of the Bride II.

But she has also made her name on Hallmark, appearing in movies like Witness to Murder, A Nashville Christmas Carol, and Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday as well as Sister Swap: Christmas in the City. Williams-Paisley also played Claire Darrow in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Darrow Mysteries series.
The actress, who has been married to country singer Brad Paisley since 2003, has appeared in a lot of her Hallmark projects with her real-life sister, fellow Hallmark star Ashley Williams.

Fan reaction to the two getting lunch and the friendship, in general, was strong online, with one fan tweeting, “Meghan is friends with only the best people” and another one writing, “Sounds like meeting of great minds.” But as it’s always the case when it comes to The Duchess of Sussex, there was also a great deal of negativity, with people going as far as to leave comments on unrelated posts in Williams-Paisley’s Instagram feed, warning her not to “get Markled.”
It is unclear how long Markle and Williams-Paisley have known each other, but considering they both have homes in Montecito, it could just be a matter of finding common ground with a neighbor. Hallmark is a pretty nice thing to have in common, isn’t it?
