Ryan Gosling's sweet gesture for Eva Mendes at 'Barbie' premiere has fans feeling the love
Forget Barbie and Ken. We're all about the real life romance between "Barbie" actor Ryan Gosling, 42, and his other half, Eva Mendes, 49.
The couple have been sharing sweet displays of public affection in a variety of ways, capturing the internet's attention. The most recent instance of PDA that's grabbed eyes was not a moment between the couple but a teeny-tiny accessory Gosling wore at the "Barbie" world premiere Sunday in Los Angeles.
The actor who plays Ken opposite Margot Robbie's Barbie in the upcoming movie, out July 21, donned a pink suit and matching shirt unbuttoned to expose his chest where a small "E" necklace — in the iconic Barbie font — lay not far from the actor's heart, prompting speculation that the accessory was a nod to Mendes.
Stylist Mark Avery shared an image of Gosling at the premiere, who Avery said he styled for the event, pointing out the Barbie E necklace.
"Ryan styled by me for @barbiethemovie wearing @gucci assistant @fouraddthree grooming by @shanethomas01 cut by @millhouse____ Thanks to @hollywood3dprinting for helping me achieve the Barbie E #ryangosling," Avery wrote.
Hollywood 3D Printing, which created the necklace, posted a close up of the E and shared details on its making, confirming that, yes, the E is for Eva.
"Enjoyed making this pendant for @heymarkavery ? what a great idea! Ryan Gosling wears “E” for Eva at the Barbie premiere," the company wrote.
Gosling's pink-carpet moment isn't the only heart-eyes-worthy move by the couple lately.
Mendes was lovey-dovey on Instagram about him just last week.
"To say he’s the greatest actor I’ve ever worked with is an understatement," Mendes said of Gosling in an Instagram post.
Mendes has opened up about her relationship with Gosling in the past, sharing in 2019 that he changed her perspective on having children.
In an interview with Women's Health in 2019, the actress shared her views on motherhood saying that "it was the furthest thing from my mind."
Now, she shares two kids with Gosling, to whom she credits her shift in desire for children.
"Ryan Gosling happened," Mendes said at the time. "I mean, falling in love with him. Then it made sense for me to have…not kids, but his kids. It was very specific to him."
The pair, who met on set of "The Place Beyond the Pines," share two daughters Esmeralda Amada, who is 8, and Amada Lee, who is 7, according to People.
