Travis Kelce's acting debut is almost here.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end will make his television debut in Ryan Murphy's Grotesquerie, an all-new FX series that tells the story of a small town where a "series of heinous crimes have unsettled" the residents.

The horror drama series – which stars Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville alongside Kelce, 34 – will premiere Wednesday, Sept. 25, the network announced on Aug. 13.

According to the official synopsis, Grotesquerie sees Nash-Betts star as Detective Lois Tryon, who believes that the crimes rattling her town "are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her." She's also grappling with a strained relationship with her daughter (played by Raven Goodwin), her husband Marshall (Vance) is in "long-term hospital care" and she's battling "her own inner demons."

Lois finds herself "with no leads and unsure of where to turn" so she "accepts the help of Sister Megan (Micaela Diamond), a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian."

"Sister Megan, with her own difficult past, has seen the worst of humanity, yet she still believes in its capacity for good. Lois, on the other hand, fears the world is succumbing to evil," the synopsis continues. "As Lois and Sister Megan string together clues, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers."

Along with Nash-Betts, Vance, Manville, Diamond and Goodwin, Grotesquerie also stars Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Father Charlie, and the details on who Kelce will play remain to be seen.

The reigning Super Bowl champ was confirmed to star in the new series in May, and Nash-Betts shared a silly video on Instagram announcing the news as she and Kelce laughed together and he said, "Jumping into new territory with Niecy!"

On an episode of his and his brother's podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis admitted that he felt like an "amateur" on set of the "cool and unique show."

"It's been so much fun. Ryan Murphy is [an] unbelievable writer, director, producer, all of the above, man," he said. "There's nothing he can't do and everybody's just been so helpful in making me feel comfortable."

He said that the cast had been "giving [him] kinda the direction I need and the coaching I need to portray the part that I'm in," before teasing what the horror drama is about.

"I don't want to give too much away, but the name itself can tell you it's quite a mystery and every scene has just been so much fun to be in."
