Sarah Jessica Parker Kicks Off “And Just Like That... ”Season 3 with Cast Table Read: 'Here We Go'
The revival series was renewed for season 3 ahead of the season 2 finale last year
And Just Like That… Carrie Bradshaw is back!
Sarah Jessica Parker kicked off season 3 of the Sex and the City revival on Wednesday, May 1 as she shared a photo of the scripts for the first and second episodes from the cast’s table read.
“Here. We. Go. X, SJ,” she wrote in the caption, which showed two scripts dated from the April 30 table read, along with a place card for her character with the show’s title and “season 3.”
She tagged her SATC costars, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, a.k.a. Charlotte and Miranda, on the post, along with some of the new faces who have become mainstays in the AJLT… world, like Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Katerina Tannenbaum. She also tagged Mario Cantone, another OG who returned for the reboot.
Nixon, 58, also shared a photo of the script for episode 1 of season 3 on Instagram, and added Noelinar’s remix “Get Ready For This,” to the captionless post.
On her Instagram Stories, Davis, 59, similarly posted from the table read, writing, “We’re back! #AJLT” over a photo of her script and “Charlotte” place card.
The series was renewed for a third season prior to the finale of season 2. Executive producer Michael Patrick King wrote in a press release at the time, “We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors. And Just Like That… Here comes season three.”
King was celebrated by Max's Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey, who said in a statement at the time, “We raise our cosmos to Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories. We cannot wait for audiences to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers."
Season 2 of And Just Like That…. left off with a dinner party to bid an emotional farewell to Carrie’s longtime apartment, which led to Kim Cattrall’s first-ever appearance in the reboot.
In the brief scene, she called her longtime friend from a car in London and told her she wouldn’t be able to make the party. "My flight's three hours delayed, Carrie! I won't be able to make it there in time," Samantha told Carrie.
She explained that she’d conspired with Miranda and Charlotte to surprise her for the “Last Supper,” but instead had to “pay [her] respects” over the phone. "Thank you for everything you f---ing fabulous, fabulous flat.”

Prior to her cameo in the season 2 finale, Samantha’s absence had been explained by her move to London after Carrie fired her as her publicist. However, the pair slowly reconnected with various mentions throughout the show, including text conversations, Samantha sending flowers to Big’s funeral and an offscreen drinks reunion following the season 1 finale.
