Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor are proving once again how supportive they are of one another.

Speaking with PEOPLE ahead of the 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Paulson, 49, jokes that she's only in attendance to hold Taylor's, 81, fan.

"This is the nominee, I'm here with the fan," Paulson jokes while holding a portable cooling device. "Just don't ever say that I'm not supportive and ready and willing and able, because it's not about me tonight as you can tell by the fan that I carry."

At that time, she noted that she was in her first "deeply committed relationship" with a woman, also noting that she was much younger than her.
