Sareee Suffers Fractured Wrist, Will Not Require Surgery
Marigold World Champion Sareee fractured her left wrist in a recent tag match at Marigold’s Korakuen Hall show.
Sareee teamed up with her rival Giulia against the pairing of Victoria Yuzuki and Kizuna Tanaka this past July 30th. Despite picking up the win, she suffered a distal left radius fracture during the tag match.
The champion recently spoke with Tokyo Sports on the topic, stating that she felt the injury occur early on in the matchup.
“I heard a noise and thought it was bad. I immediately taped it up myself and managed to get through the match,” she said.
Sareee then underwent a medical examination to determine the severity of the fracture. Fortunately for the Marigold World Champion, her condition will not require surgery for a full recovery.
Ironically, her partner in the match, Giulia, suffered an injury of the same nature at the inaugural Marigold event back in July but with her right wrist. Sareee commented on the coincidence, saying, “Isn’t this terrible? Is it Giulia’s curse? I’m so surprised that something like this could happen. All I can do is laugh.”
Sareee will make her in-ring return for Marigold at the company’s upcoming August 19th show where Giulia will be competing in her last match in Japan.
