Sauce Walka Calls Presidency “A Man’s Job” After Donald Trump Wins The Election
No matter how much people say that the United States is progressive, there are constant reminders that it still has a long way to go. Sauce Walka recently explained why he feels Donald Trump won the election.
“Trump [double exclamation emoji] .. this is a man’s job [shrug emoji],” he wrote on X early Wednesday morning (Nov. 6). Perhaps the Houston rapper realized that his comment would incite anger because he closed it off with “Love you ladies.” One fan asked him, “So if [your] daughter grew up wanting to be President you’ll tell her the same?” and he replied, “No I would not want the responsibility of a billion people on my daughter’s shoulders. But if she wishes that I would [accept] and support.”
Another fan quoted Walka’s tweet and wrote, “Election talk with My 9 yr old son and 5 yr old daughter during morning commute and my Son literally said he votes Trump bc he don’t want no woman running the world.” A user commented on this post and wrote, “Smart man.”
Sauce Walka added more tweets related to the election later on. “Depend on your self’s not the election,” he wrote. “Be the president of your success & your own country. Your estate.” While the sentiment seemingly comes from a good place, unfortunately, people need to depend on the country for healthcare, protection, financial assistance, and more. It is impossible to pretend as if that isn’t the reality.
He received some backlash for his perspectives but, like many people who think the way he does, he doubled down. “Can’t cancel the truth,” he wrote in one tweet. “If my political opinion hurts your feelings. I DO NOT APOLOGIZE!!” he said in another tweet. “History has shown a pattern of presidential assassination attempts!?! Why would y’all want a woman in that position! America [USA flag emoji] needs a leader prepared to defend and make hard rational, calculated decisions!”
Notably, the ADA Boyz rapper later admitted that he has never voted in an election. He also claimed that poverty-driven families “thrived” during Donald Trump’s first term as President and cited “prison reform.” Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but not every opinion is properly informed; in this case, Walka is focusing on the “good” Trump did and not the things that hurt people in this country.
Sauce Walka wasn’t the only rapper to celebrate Donald Trump’s victory. 50 Cent posted two photos with the President-Elect on Instagram and wrote, “I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner sh*t. I still don’t know what’s going on [facepalm emoji] congratulations!”
