The series, which stars Sylvester Stallone in his first major small screen role, comes from the mind of Taylor Sheridan, the creator of such TV hits as Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown and 1883. Season 2 is in the can and will premiere in just two months!

When is the Tulsa King release date?

Tulsa King's Season 2 release date is Sunday, Nov. 13 on Paramount+ but will be simulcast on Paramount Network following the Season 5 premiere of Yellowstone.

In the US, the first episode will drop at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET.

What is Tulsa King about?

Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone). Just after he is released from prison after 25 years, he is unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a city that to him might as well be another planet.

What happened in Season 1 of Tulsa King?

Season 1 of Tulsa King found Dwight "The General" Manfredi being released from prison after spending 25 years behind bars for a hit he did for the Invernizzi crime family. He refused to turn on them but didn't feel reciprocal loyalty upon his release. Dwight was sent to Tulsa, Okla. Looking to get back in with the Invernizzis, Dwight sets up shop there.

What happens in Season 2 of Tulsa King?

In Season 2, Dwight and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa but, just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones attempting to stake their claim. With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.

Sylvester Stallone (Dwight "The General" Manfredi)

The star of such box office hits as Rambo, Demolition Man and Judge Dredd, Stallone wrote and starred in the Academy Award-nominated film, Rocky. He is the only actor in the history of American film to have starred in a No. 1 film across six decades. This is Stallone's first major TV role. He also serves as an executive producer.

Fun fact: Stallone wanted to be an extra in The Godfather, but was rejected!

Dana Delaney (Margaret)

Margaret Devereaux is the owner of the Fennario horse ranch. Delaney is best known for her award-winning role on China Beach. She has also starred in Tombstone, Exit to Eden and Fly Away Home.

Neal McDonough (Cal Thresher)

Cal Thresher is a powerful and extremely territorial businessman in Tulsa. McDonough is no stranger to the Taylor-verse. He previously appeared in Yellowstone as one of the Beck Brothers hoping to grab the Dutton family's land.

Garrett Hedlund (Mitch Keller)

Mitch is a native Oklahoman, ex-rodeo star, ex-convict and current bar owner who is an associate of the Manfredi syndicate. Hedlund is best known for his work in films like Friday Night Lights, Tron: Legacy and Country Strong.

Fun fact: Singer Tim McGraw is godfather to Hedlund's son, Rhodes, and Emma Roberts is Rhodes' mom!

Andrea Savage (Stacy Beale)

Stacy Beale is an ATF agent at a crossroads in her life. Savage wrote and starred in the Netflix hit I'm Sorry, which originally aired on TruTV before its streaming renaissance. She has also appeared in Veep and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Martin Starr (Bodhi)

Lawrence "Bodhi" Geigerman is a weed dealer who owns a marijuana dispensary in Tulsa. He is recruited by Manfredi to help finance his syndicate. Starr is known for his roles on Freaks and Geeks, Silicon Valley and Party Down.

Max Casella (Armand Truisi)

Armand "Manny" Truisi is a former Invernizzi soldier who made a new life in Tulsa working at Fennario horse ranch, after breaking his vow to the family. He joins Manfredi's crew after unsuccessfully trying to kill him.

If Casella looks familiar, you probably recognize him from his younger days. As a child actor, Casella starred as Vinnie Delpino on Doogie Howser, MD opposite Neil Patrick Harris and as Racetrack Higgins on Newsies.

Tatiana Zappardino (Tina Manfredi-Grieger)

Tina is Dwight's daughter and a New York florist. The two have a strained relationship as Dwight was absent for most of her childhood after he was incarcerated. Zapparadino has been upped to series regular for Season 2. Previous credits include This is Us and NCIS: New Orleans.

Jay Will (Tyson Mitchell)

Tyson is the first person Dwight meets in Tulsa and eventually becomes the first member of the Manfredi Crime Syndicate. Will guest starred on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and recently had lead roles in Rob Peace and It Doesn't Matter.

Frank Grillo (Bill Bevilaqua)

Bevilaqua is the head of the Kansas City mob looking to stake his claim in Tulsa. Grillo has also been upped to series regular for Season 2. He is known for his roles as Crossbones in the Marvel Universe, The Purge franchise and The Mambo Kings. Other credits include Billions, Prison Break and Guiding Light.

Fun fact: Grillo was previously married to Yellowstone cast member, Wendy Moniz, who played Gov. Lynette Perry.

Annabella Sciorra (Joanne Manfredi)

Annabella Sciorra has been upped to series regular for Season 2. She plays Joanne Manfredi, Dwight's younger sister. Sciorra is best known for her roles in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Jungle Fever. Previous credits include Blue Bloods, Daredevil and Bull.

Domenick Lombardozzi (Charles "Chickie" Invernizzi)

Chickie is the underboss, or second-in-command, of the Invernizzi crime family. Lombardozzi's credits include Rosewood, Ray Donovan, Power and Reacher.

Rich Ting (Jackie Ming)

Rich Ting joined the cast in a recurring role as Jackie Ming, a quiet, unassuming personality but underneath it all he has his own ruthless plans for Tulsa. Ting's previous credits include Warrior, Magnum P.I. and The Man in the High Castle.

Who created Tulsa King?

Tulsa King comes from the creative mind of Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown and 1883. His other shows include Special Ops: Lioness, Lawmen: Bass Reeves and the Yellowstone prequel series, 1923.

Fun fact: Stallone met Taylor Sheridan years ago when the two were riding horses in Los Angeles.

Who wrote Tulsa King?

Sheridan writes most of his stories, but with eight shows in the works, he reached out to Mafia mastermind Terence Winter to write Tulsa King. Winter is known for shows such as Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos, among many others.
