‘Scorpion’ Sneak Peek: Sharks + Nerds = ‘Sharknerdo’

Tensions are once again building on Scorpion. While Paige’s time recently with her mother (please come back, Lea Thompson!) did wonders for their relationship, it’s caused stress between Paige and Walter. What better time for them to confront their issues than while stranded on a raft in the middle of the Pacific Ocean?

The team’s treasure-hunting mission goes awry when Paige and Walter’s boat explodes, leaving the couple with nothing but time and each other. In this clip, Walter blames her for their predicament — because of course he does — but his reasoning is, well, surprisingly emotional. Elyes Gabel fires on all cylinders while giving us a brief glimpse into his character’s aching heart.

Oh, and they’re surrounded by sharks because of course there are sharks. The episode’s called “Sharknerdo,” after all. It wouldn’t be Scorpion if they didn’t give us a little sweat-inducing terror to go with our heart-felt moments.

Scorpion airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
