Scott Baio Says Nicole Eggert ‘Seduced Me,’ But She Wasn’t a Minor at the Time (Video)

Scott Baio denied accusations by his former “Charles In Charge” co-star Nicole Eggert that he “molested” her when she was “14, 15, 16 and 17.”

On Twitter Saturday, Eggert accused Baio of “fingering” her when she was as young as 14 “in his garage at his house.”

A few hours later, Baio went on Facebook Live, saying, “My reputation is being damaged, my family is being put through this, and I’m done.”

Baio said the accusations were “100 percent lies,” and that he was prepared to “knock down false claims made against” him with proof.

He laid out what he said was his history with Eggert, who was a teenager when they worked together from 1984-1990 on the sitcom. Baio was in his mid to late 20s. He said that Eggert started rumors in 2012 that they had sex when she was a minor, and that they resurfaced months later when she “was promoting three reality shows.”

When the talk resurfaced in 2017, Baio said, his legal team told her that if she had a claim she should go to the police. She did not, he said.

Baio said he and Eggert did have sexual relations, but that she was not a minor at the time. He played a recording of an interview in which she said they slept together “way after ‘Charles In Charge.'”

He showed a “Charles” script dated May 1990, and Eggert’s IMDb page, which shows her birthday as January 1972. “So that makes her 18 years and 4 months,” he said.

“I remember her call me and asking to come over, and coming in my house ONE time and seducing me. Now, any normal, heterosexual, red-blooded, American guy, the outcome would’ve been the same,” he said. “She seduced me. She came in the house and started kissing me.”

Baio said he wonders what changed. “She’s my best friend in the world and all of a sudden I’m the boogie man,” he said. “The problem with this is that people with legitimate claims aren’t taken seriously and that’s too bad.”
