Sean Hannity calls for unity from Democrats and Republicans: 'You must stop this insanity'
Fox News host Sean Hannity blasted both conservative and liberal extremists after violent protests rocked Portland, Ore. this past weekend. Hannity’s call for unity also comes in the wake of accusations by critics that conservative rhetoric has contributed to recent mass shootings in both Ohio and Texas.
“This show will always condemn hatred on any side,” said Hannity.
“White supremacy, bigotry, you have no place in this society. None whatsoever,” he added.
Hannity also placed equal blame on both sides of the aisle. “To each and every single person on either side that has an extreme agenda, you must stop this insanity, this lawlessness,” he said. “This kind of behavior is unacceptable. It’s insane, it’s despicable, it’s violence, it’s extremism and it’s hurting our country.”
The host also reminded viewers that debate without violence is possible. “Let’s not forget that we can have political disagreements, but at the end of the day we’re all Americans,” said Hannity.
Viewers on Twitter were split over Hannity’s comments. Some weren’t buying the sincerity:
True....no need for this....but you should ask why Trump generates such anger and hatred.....and then reflect why you support and enable him!!

What is wrong with you? You are a very sick man. You feed hatred and lies about people constantly. Do you have a soul, Sean?

Others applauded Hannity’s message. Some called for more conservatives to echo his plea, but others placed the blame firmly on Democrats:
This violence was started by Barrack HUSSEIN Obama! He is the one who called out our police for doing their jobs! We have him, the entire DNC and the left wing propaganda news to thank for this violence! Shame on them!

I agree, and Trump and EVERY GOP should denounce racism, white supremacy, gun violence (no it is not a mental health issue) and pathological lying by Donald trump.
