Sean Spicer eliminated on 'Dancing With the Stars' despite support from Trump
Sean Spicer was eliminated during Monday night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. The former White House press secretary was surrounded by controversy during his nine weeks on the show.
While Spicer is an outspoken proponent for the right, he appears to have been born with two left feet. And those feet earned him consistently low dancing scores from the judges throughout the competition.
Despite having low dancing scores, Spicer had a very strong fanbase which kept him in the competition with their votes. He also had the support of his former boss, Donald Trump. Trump repeatedly encouraged his Twitter followers to vote for Spicer, and the campaign was quite successful.
Fans frustrations had grown over the weeks as better dancers were eliminated and Spicer remained. The judges also showed a lot of frustration with Spicer. Last week, head judge Len Goodman said, “We keep throwing you out the boat and the viewers keep throwing you a life preserver.”
On Monday, Spicer’s luck finally ran out and he was eliminated. The vast majority of reactions on social media was that of celebration.
