Seann William Scott's Divorce Settlement Comes With A Hefty Price Tag
Actor Seann William Scott has officially concluded his marriage to Olivia Korenberg, but it came at an expensive cost.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, a judge recently approved the "American Pie" star's divorce. The judgment included activating the parties' single status and settling their differences according to a prenuptial agreement.
Seann William Scott To Regain His Single Status In Three Months
In the court documents, a judge accepted the dissolution of Scott's and Korenberg's marriage over their irreconcilable differences. Although the legal umpire signed off on their divorce settlement on May 21, activating the duo's single status will be official on August 21, 2024.
As for other issues like the division of their properties and expenses, the documents noted the pair entered a prenuptial agreement before their wedding in September 2019. They both acknowledged the prenup was "valid and enforceable in all aspects."
On that note, the former couple revealed Scott had "voluntarily paid various funds" to Korenberg since their separation last October, and this money would have served as her spousal support.
Nonetheless, upon the execution of this judgment, Scott agreed to pay Korenberg $1 million to resolve all disputes between them, including the spousal support waivers.
"Respondent shall receive said sum and the assets awarded to her in this Judgment, in full satisfaction of any and all rights or claims she may have," the document explained.
The TV Personality Will Pay $6,000 Monthly In Child Support
Besides coughing up the considerable sum to Korenberg, the actor is also required to pay $6,000 a month in child support for their minor child, Frankie Rose Scott.
These payments commenced on April 1, 2024, and will continue until further order from the Court or until the child reaches 18, dies, or gets married.
However, Scott and Korenberg are expected to pay one-half of "all reasonable ordinary, unreimbursed, or uninsured medical and dental healthcare costs."
The parents must also pay one-half of "any agreed-upon private school tuition, tutoring expenses, summer camp expenses, and any other mutually agreed upon reasonable expenses for the minor child."
As for custody, Scott and Korenberg were granted joint legal and physical custody of their child. "[The Parties] agree that it is in the child's best interest not to be away from either parent more than three consecutive days, if possible," the documents explained.
The Former Couple Agreed To Introduce Each Other To Any Future Lovers
Scott and Korenberg, per the documents, are committed to maintaining an amicable co-parenting relationship. They agreed it is in their child's best interest to spend quality time with each of them, including any potential lovers.
"Each party acknowledges and agrees that he/she shall introduce to the other party any significant other that either party intends to introduce to the parties' minor child and have the minor child spend significant time with said significant other," their agreement read.
The duo showed they are willing to let Frankie spend quality time with their future lovers, with the "significant time" defined as "more than 48 hours."
Their amicable stance doesn't end there, as they agreed to resolve any co-parenting issues with a mental health professional specializing in child custody dispute resolution.
Scott Covered His Ex-Wife's Attorney Fees & Costs
Scott's bills in the divorce settlement kept pilling up, with the documents revealing he owed Korenberg's attorney $10,000 in unpaid counsel fees and costs incurred in the divorce proceedings.
The former couple noted the actor had previously paid Korenberg's team $25,000 in attorney fees and costs; however, he wasn't entitled to any reimbursement. Instead, Scott won't pay any more fees incurred in connection with their marital dissolution.
As for their property division, Scott received his clothing, jewelry, and miscellaneous personal effects. He kept all earnings and accumulations during and after marriage, including his real estate properties, bank accounts, cars, etc.
The same applied to Korenberg, who kept all her personal items, household furniture, and assets in her name. She also got a 2022 Range Rover and all the earnings and accumulations acquired during and after marriage.
Seann William Scott Filed For Divorce After Four Years Of Marriage
As previously reported by The Blast, Scott filed for divorce from Korenberg after four years of marriage in February.
He cited Hollywood's favorite reason for separation, "irreconcilable differences," and implored the Court to enforce their prenuptial agreement.
He asked for joint and legal custody of their daughter Frankie and noted the prenup would cover issues like spousal support and Korenberg's attorney fees. The same applied to any assets and debts considered community property.
As for "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects," Scott stressed that these items belong to the former couple. However, his earnings before and after marriage were his alone.
