See how a 'Breaking Bad'-esque 'New Girl' leads to a Schmidt-Cece kiss

Shippers of Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone) know it’s only a matter of time until the exes fall back into each other’s arms. But Schmidt’s motives for planting a passionate kiss on his love in New Girl‘s next episode are unexpected, to say the least.

The episode’s title, “Background Check,” says it all: Winston (Lamorne Morris) must pass a home visit by an LAPD superior in order to move forward in becoming a police officer. Unfortunately, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) has some contraband in the apartment that might compromise Winston’s new career. So, what does Cece have experience cleaning up? And what exactly is spilling out of Jess’s bra?

Hint: Walter White would approve.
