He left the show after multiple public controversies, ultimately leading him to jump into boxing in August 2018.

Meet Jake Paul’s girlfriend and look back at his dating history
Read on for what we know about Jake Paul’s girlfriend and his relationships over the years.
Jutta Leerdam (2023 – Now)
Jake Paul is dating Jutta Leerdam, a world-champion speed skater from the Netherlands. The couple went Instagram official in April 2023 when he shared a photo with the Dutch athlete on Instagram. “Im Dutch now,” he captioned the photo while tagging Leerdam.
On April 27, 2023, she appeared on her boyfriend’s sports podcast, BS w/ Jake Paul, to discuss her career and their relationship. “He’s not an idiot in real life. He’s just different in front of the cameras. You’re just the sweetest guy ever and I want to expose you one day,” she told Paul on the podcast. “It’s so different seeing you on video, your personality there online compared to everywhere else.”
She continued, “You’re actually a little bit more introverted in real life. You’re more chill. You’re like sweet and genuine and more vulnerable and like emotionally open. I’ve never seen that in a guy. I’ve never seen a guy that’s so open. It’s actually manly that you can show your emotions and I think that’s really beautiful.”
The 25-year-old is an accomplished speed skater with a long list of accomplishments. In 2022, she won her first Olympic silver medal, taking second behind Japan’s Takagi Miho. “I’m happy, but after the race, I was a little sad with my corner that cost me some seconds,” she told Olympics.com after her win. She also placed first in the 2017 World Junior Championships and finished second the following year at the 2018 Championships.
Leerdam started skating when she was 11 years old (which the site notes is late for Dutch standards) after starting her sports journey as a field hockey player. She specializes in sprint events and holds records in the 1000m, according to Elite World Records.
Julia Rose (2020 – 2022)
Jake Paul was first connected with model and social media personality Julia Rose in 2020. During a January 2020 episode of “The Night Shift” podcast, the professional boxer mentioned he had been talking to a girl, likely referring to Julia.
“It’s been completely off-camera. That’s super healthy … It’s good to have real relationships off-camera that you value, and you know that that person genuinely cares about you and isn’t just there to be in content and get clout out of the situation,” he said on the podcast, per J-14.
In March 2020, Paul introduced Julia in a vlog and said that the pair met on set for his music video “These Days,” which she starred in. “We met on set of the music video, then we fell in love,” he said in the video. “Everything progressed and we kept on falling in love really fast.”
Over the next two years, the couple experienced multiple breakups, leading to an on-again-off-again relationship. While the exact timing of their final split is unclear, it likely occurred at the end of 2022, as suggested by a cryptic Instagram post he captioned, “Picked the wrong rose.”
Tana Mongeau (2019 – 2020)
One of Jake Paul’s most high-profile relationships was with fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau. About one month after the pair started making videos together, Paul asked Mongeau to “marry him” while celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas.
From the start, fans questioned the legitimacy of their romance and whether it was just for the show. Paul said their relationship was “real, but it’s also not.” “This whole thing with Tana is like escalating. I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s real, but it’s also not. But it also is, so it’s weird, man. I don’t know what it’s going to turn into. Stay tuned,” he said in a video uploaded on May 9, according to People.
The couple married in a televised wedding at Graffiti Mansion in Las Vegas on July 28 for MTV. However, nearly two weeks after tying the knot, she admitted that she and Paul were not legally married. “To everybody that’s calling it fake because we rushed into it or because I don’t do things traditionally, because I wanted to not do it legally — any wedding I have, if I have three more f—– weddings, I really wouldn’t want to do it on paper, because I think that legally binding yourself to someone takes away the love,” she said in a YouTube video at the time.
About six months after their wedding, the couple announced on Instagram that they were taking a break. “Ok I don’t rly know how to do a ‘we’re taking a break’ post & this is weird as f—… I’m happy to still be able to sit with Jake and laugh as we do this — but for now we both are taking a break to focus on our own crazy lives…” Mongeau wrote on social media. Their break eventually turned into a permanent split.
Erika Costell (2017)
Jake Paul started dating fellow YouTuber Erika Costell early in 2017. In June 2017, Paul posted a YouTube video that appeared to show the couple getting married (the video now has more than 33.6 million views). They also released a song about their relationship called “Jerika,” which peaked at No. 86 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
A few months later, Paul announced the couple’s split in a statement posted to Twitter (now X) in November 2017. At the time, he said their breakup was “the healthiest thing for both of us.”
“Erika is such a beautiful soul & she truly changed my life. She is a powerful, smart, & independent woman, who has such a bright future ahead of her and has helped me become a better person on multiple levels,” he penned in the lengthy post, which you can read in full below. “The times we had together are irreplaceable and I will be forever grateful that she was part of my life.”

Tessa Brooks (2017)
Jake Paul and his fellow Team 10 member Tessa Brooks never confirmed their relationship, but it was rumored that they briefly dated while she was in the content creation house. In April 2017, Tessa sparked dating rumors after she kissed Paul in a YouTube video.
Less than a year later, Tessa revealed she was parting ways with Team 10 in January 2018. “It’s a really bittersweet thing for me because I am thinking of what it once was for me. It’s a really sucky thing, it is what it is. You have to know when to let go,” she explained on YouTube. “We’ve grown apart and we’re heading in different directions, and that’s totally OK. It’s not something that is right for me anymore.”
Two years later, Brooks was spotted hanging out with Tana Mongeau, who also dated Paul for a short period of her time. Mongeau posted a video with Tessa, and in the clip, she could be heard saying, “Bet you thought you’d seen the last of us,” to the camera, according to J-14.
Alissa Violet (2015 – 2017)
Jake Paul and his fellow Team 10 member Alissa Violet had an on-and-off relationship from 2015 to 2017. Although Alissa claims they were never official, their tumultuous relationship played out in the public eye. Both Paul and Violet were part of Team 10, the social media talent management company founded by Paul, who is now a professional boxer.
“We never officially dated, ever. Which there are so many things out there like, ‘Jake Paul’s ex-girlfriend,’ and I’m always the ex. It was just hooking up and I’ve chased him for so long and I wanted him to be my boyfriend,” she said in 2018’s The Mind of Jake Paul docuseries. “I was just so confused and confronted him every day like, ‘What are we? This hurts so bad,’ and he was always just brushing it off. We never really established what we were. We were together, but we weren’t.”
Meanwhile, Jake admitted that he was in love with Alissa on The Breakfast Club. However, he said things went downhill after she hooked up with her brother, Logan Paul. “I brought this girl into my life, gave her a career, gave her everything, like housing, places to live, everything. Bro, I brought her out of the traps of Ohio,” he explained.
Ultimately, Paul said their relationship taught him to be “more careful.” He added, “I think I’m a lot more careful about everyone in my life now. Cause there’s been like so many, you know I mean like it’s just like anyone coming up. You’re going to weed through whose actually there for you and whose not. And I’m only 20 years old so I’ve had to learn it super, super fast.”
