See Kelly Clarkson's Desperate Attempts to Pronounce Guest's Name Correctly in Behind-the-Scenes Talk Show Clip

Kelly Clarkson may not always pronounce every name correctly on her talk show, but she certainly deserves an A for effort.

The "Since U Been Gone" songstress was trying her hardest to correctly introduce one of her latest guests on The Kelly Clarkson Show, as Icelandic singer-songwriter Laufey appeared on the Wednesday, June 26 episode.

In a behind-the-scenes clip shared on the show's official Instagram on Wednesday, Clarkson, 42, was desperately trying to master the correct pronunciation of Laufey's name by repeating it over and over until it sounded the same as how Laufey herself pronounced it.

The American Idol alum expressed how important it was for her to get the name right, especially after dealing with her own name being frequently incorrectly pronounced as "Clarkston" instead of "Clarkson."

"It's not my name," she said, noting that she now tries to "get everyone's name right."

"I want to get it right so badly," Clarkson then stressed, while Laufey offered an easier—yet not accurate—way to pronounce her name.

"That's not your name!" Clarkson argued, while Laufey tried to insist that it wasn't a big deal. She even offered Bj?rk, another Icelandic artist, as an example of a name that everyone says incorrectly because it's easier.

Clarkson, for one, was completely shocked to realize that she had been saying Bj?rk's name incorrectly all this time, making members of the crew burst out laughing over her surprised face.

Getting back to practicing Laufey's name, Clarkson joked, "You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to move my mouth and you're gonna say it."

"I've never lip-synced in my whole life; this is my first time to ever do this," she added, before giving the lip-syncing method a try and making everyone, including Laufey, roar with laughter.

"Teamwork makes the dream work!" the comical video was captioned on Instagram, while tons of Clarkson's fans flocked to the comments to commend the "Because Of You" singer for her impassioned attempt.

"I'm dead ???? I love her so much," one person wrote in the comments, while another Instagram user chimed in to say, "Soooo funny!!! But also..I love the respect she has for the correct pronunciation for her name. Loooove."

"Kelly you are a treasure!!!! What an awesome personality," someone else added.
