See Kevin James in Official Trailer for Netflix’s NASCAR Sitcom The Crew
Kevin James is coming back to the small screen with his newest sitcom, The Crew.
The Netflix comedy, premiering Feb. 15, stars the actor as Kevin Gibson, a NASCAR crew chief for the fictional Bobby Spencer Racing team.
When the owner steps down and leaves the team in the hands of his daughter, Catherine, James' character must prevent layoffs as she attempts to modernize and whip the garage into shape.
In the official trailer for the new series, released Friday, Kevin is shocked to hear about his new boss, played by Jillian Mueller.
"You've got to be kidding me!" he says. "I have underwear older than her."

"I don't want to fire anyone, but I'm going to do what I have to do to win," Catherine later adds as the garage proves to be dysfunctional at best.
"She can't fire us all, we're a family," Kevin tells his fellow crew members. "Think of this as war — our best odds are to stick together."
Alongside the trailer and premiere date, Netflix also announced two guest stars on The Crew Friday. Bruce McGill will play the retired founder of the Bobby Spencer racing team, while Paris Berelc is Jessie, a promising young race car driver who Catherine wants to replace current driver Jake (played by Bridgerton's Freddie Stroma) with.
The upcoming series will additionally star Sarah Stiles, Gary Anthony Williams and Dan Ahdoot.

This marks James' return to TV after his CBS sitcom, Kevin Can Wait, was canceled in 2018 after two seasons.
Following the cancellation, James thanked the cast, crew, network and fans. "I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world… Okay, maybe a season 3. Love to all," James captioned his Instagram of a jacket embroidered with the sitcom's title.
The Crew premieres Feb. 15 on Netflix.
